Tell us about yourself and your research interests:
I am a biomedical scientist, researcher, and postgraduate student who is currently pursuing an online master’s degree in Infectious Diseases at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. I am currently employed under the VITALITY research project, a randomised clinical trial that is investigating the impact of high dosage vitamin D supplementation on bone development in HIV-infected adolescents. I am also involved in the SAMPA research project, a nutrition-based study that is assessing long-term pancreatic health after Severe Acute Malnutrition in children and adults. My passion for immunology stems from the intricate ways the immune system functions and its multi-faceted role, from developing vaccines to treating infectious diseases, autoimmune diseases, and cancer. My research areas of interest include HIV, vaccine immunology, and nutrition. Over the years, I have acquired skills in cell stimulation assays, cell culture, flow cytometry, and multiplex ELISAs.
