Tell us about yourself and your research interests:
I am Krishnapriya Vinod, a native of Kerala, India. I hold a master’s degree in Zoology and am currently pursuing my PhD at Ashoka University, Delhi NCR, India. Under the guidance of Dr. Rama Akondy, I am a member of the Human Immunology lab, where our research centers on vaccine-induced immune memory and human T cell differentiation. My primary focus lies in understanding naïve cytotoxic T cells and understanding the factors that maintain their ‘quiescent’ state. This passion was ignited by my interest in studying immune responses, particularly in the aftermath of various emergent viral outbreaks in Kerala.
