Tell us about yourself and your research interests:
I am an immunologist with expertise in T cell biology, flow cytometry, and immune cell engineering. I am currently a Technical Assistant (TA) at the Leibniz Institute for Immunotherapy (LIT), Germany, in the T Cell Fitness Clinical Translation group under Dr. Roland Schelker. Additionally, I am pursuing a part-time PhD at Amity Institute of Biotechnology, Amity University Mumbai, India.
My research focuses on understanding T cell activation, proliferation, exhaustion, and their role in tumor immunology. I have developed in vitro models of T cell exhaustion and optimized artificial antigen presentation systems for studying T cell responses. Additionally, I have
experience regulatory compliance, GCP/GLP requirements, and lab setup. My current work integrates synthetic biology concepts, exploring oscillatory circuits and trigger-based immune modulation in CD8+ stem cell-like memory T cells (TSCM) for potential clinical applications.
Beyond research, I am passionate about scientific communication and data visualization, creating scientific illustrations and graphical abstracts to effectively convey complex immunological concepts. As a Technical Assistant, I also contribute to laboratory operations and research support at LIT. I aim to bridge fundamental immunology research with clinical immunotherapy applications, particularly in T cell fitness and exhaustion, to advance cancer immunotherapy.
