Tell us about yourself and your research interests:
I have earned my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Biochemistry from Ladoke Akintola University and the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, respectively. I am a Doctorate student at the Department of Immunology, Institute of Biomedical Sciences, University of Sao Paulo, Brazil. My current research is focused on the evaluation of recombinant live vectors such as bacteria (Listeria monocytogenes) and viruses (adenovirus) as potential candidates for vaccination vectors to induce in vivo antigen-specific CD8+ T cells and elicit an anti-tumor immune response. This study is currently being done in parallel with the cell death pathways by evaluating the involvement of key necroptosis and pyroptosis regulatory (receptor-interacting protein kinase 3 (RIPK3) and Caspase 1) and effector (mixed lineage kinase domain-like protein pseudokinase (MLKL) and gasdermin D) molecules.
