Tell us about yourself and your research interests:
I am a dedicated public health professional with a Master’s degree in Public Health and over ten years of experience in program development, management, and evaluation. My career has focused on addressing health challenges, particularly in vulnerable populations affected by communicable and non-communicable diseases (NCDs). My research interests include public health and epidemiology, where I aim to develop and evaluate health programs responding to infectious diseases like TB and HIV. Additionally, I am passionate about investigating the impact of nutrition on health, especially among internally displaced persons (IDPs), emphasizing the need for effective nutritional interventions. I also seek to explore the relationship between NCD prevention and vaccination strategies, promoting immunization as a critical component of comprehensive healthcare. Furthermore, I am interested in understanding how climate change affects health outcomes and advocating for policies that mitigate its impacts, particularly on mental health and disease spread. Through my work, I strive to improve health systems and outcomes for vulnerable communities.
